Ballots Bay is really a unique development within a private Nature Reserve. It offers a lifestyle which just cannot be copied elsewhere. It a nature-lover’s dream. Some of the stands are situated along the rugged coastline, possibly between 20-40m above sea level. This stand is the last one of these; and in a way it could be described as having a dramatic position with dramatic views of the coastline. From the stand Cleopatra’s pool (which is one of the many trails) is only a 20-30min walking distance.
Ballots Bay is located, less than 9 km from the outskirts of George. The reserve stretches over 90ha hilly countryside along a rugged coastline, fully grown with fynbos and natural bush. A number of interesting trails cris-cross the estate. Names are e.g. the whale trail, ou-man-se -pad (old man’s trail), magic forest, cleopatra’s pool, and the fynbos trail. Other features are the magical sunrises and sunsets and moonrises. Often one comes across zebras, blue wildebeests, springbucks, ostriches, massive tortoises, whilst in the bay whales and schools of tunny are often to be seen.
Ballots Bay is situated 20 Km from the George airport. It comprises only 70 stands of which more than 60 have been built already; therefore only a few more stands are still available.
